I am currently working in close collaboration with Horizon Energie, a forward-thinking and fast-growing player in the Belgian solar sector.
With deep technical roots and a future-oriented mindset, Horizon Energie combines expertise in photovoltaics, battery systems, EV charging, and now energy communities.
Although it is no longer affiliated with Soltis, its CEO, Jérôme De Bruyn, was formerly one of Soltis’ key figures and brings extensive experience in third-party solar financing and public-private energy deployment. This background laid the foundation for Horizon’s sharp rise as a leading PV integrator in Brussels and Wallonia.

Horizon Energie is now actively involved in the development of local energy communities, allowing multiple users to share locally produced solar energy and benefit from collective self-consumption models.
They play a key role in helping municipalities, social housing providers, and business clusters adopt innovative and decentralized energy-sharing solutions, in line with Belgium’s evolving regulatory framework.
Partnership with Raysun
As part of their expansion and service diversification, Horizon collaborates with Raysun, a specialist in large-scale solar development and project financing. This partnership strengthens their ability to deliver turnkey commercial PV systems and to scale up projects that require both engineering precision and financial structuring.

My Role in This Ongoing Collaboration
- Support on technical design, EMS integration and SolarEdge optimization
- Co-development of commercial PV and storage projects
- Advisory input on regulatory and financial structuring, especially for energy communities
- Strategic alignment with partner networks like Raysun, to facilitate deployment at scale
